Confinaria - Ethnographies in Times of Pandemic

Confinaria – Ethnographies in times of pandemic is a CRIA’s science communication project consisting of a collective blog where reflections and experiences are shared about the times lived in the context of a pandemic caused by COVID-19, contributing to the future memory of these exceptional times.

From an ethnography of the streets, residential areas, houses, and lives, we intend to create a journal of these exceptional times.

The proposal consists of a daily basis collective blog where up to 3 authors share their texts/creations (max. 2000 characters each – including spaces; 2 to 3 photos; 2 to 3 sound files; – proposals can be hybrid).  All posts must indicate date and place, and will be presented in order to create a chronological sequence. Daily posts do not have to dialogue with each other or with the previous and/or following days.

The contributions may be diverse: more impressive, more thoughtful, more theorized, or more artistic, trying to attain an anthropology of the immediate, an ethnography of urgency. What affects us and what affects those we see, while observing inside our houses (including us), the streets and spaces we are allowed to go, is what concerns us the most.
